Equipping Ministry
Equipping ministry is to train indigenous missionaries so that they are equipped to be sent out to the unreached people and continue the work of the Lord.
Why Equipping Ministry?
Light World Mission works with indigenous missionaries to do the Great Commission that Jesus has given to the believers. We work closely with indigenous missionaries to equip them and send them out to the unreached people and Be the Light of the Lord, to Light the World" on their own country.
Light World Mission Equipping Ministry's goal is to train and equip indigenous missionaries, and encourage them to continue the work of the Lord and to know God continuously.
This equipping ministry is an important part of Light World Mission's ministry because through this ministry, we can help one to be equipped and be send out to do the work of the Lord, and be effective in doing the ministry of the Lord.
And here are reasons why equipping indigenous missionaries ministry is important:
1. Indigenous missionaries have excellent cultural adaptation skills.
Until now, many missionaries have had to invest significant time and effort into adapting to the culture and language of foreign regions. However, indigenous missionaries are locals with the same cultural and linguistic background, which helps reduce cultural shock and adaptation difficulties. Unreached people groups are often located in regions with religious barriers, such as Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist areas, making them more difficult to enter. Indigenous missionaries can more easily access these regions.
2. It is possible to establish churches more quickly and at a lower cost compared to foreign missionaries. Foreign missionaries often require more expenses because it is challenging for them to adapt their lifestyle to a different culture. However, indigenous missionaries are already accustomed to the local standard of living, allowing more missionaries to be supported with the same amount of money. (Average monthly support cost per indigenous missionary: $50-60; church construction cost: $10,000-15,000 for a brick church that can accommodate 100 people)
3. It is the most biblical method of missions.
Paul's missionary team did not stay within a single church in one region. The apostles preached the gospel in various areas, discipled the people there, established and appointed pastors from among them, and continued to move on, spreading the gospel and establishing churches in new areas. The Million Indigenous Missionary Movement is a modern-day missionary movement that follows the same apostolic methods as Paul's team did over 2,000 years ago.

RDM ministry
In order to achieve what Light World Mission believes in the vision and mission and to equip people, we use this strategy called, "RDM ministry". This strategy comes from what Jesus did when he was in this earth. Wherever he went, there was a revival happened where people would encounter God. Jesus hand chose people to be His disciples and discipled them while he was in this earth. Not only Revival and Discipleship happened, but Jesus would send out His disciples to do the work that He did on this earth which we call it as mission ministry.
